Treat your feet with aromatherapy

We’ve reached the middle of June and the beach season will soon be here, (and for some of you it’s already here). It’s easy to find articles and debates on getting in shape for the summer season, with weight loss and exercise in mind, but one part of the body is usually forgotten, the feet!

It’s easy to get dry and tired feet during the winter season and it can be difficult to get them back in shape again in time for the summer. One of the best ways to get smooth and healthy feet again is to use aromatherapy and that’s a quite simple method to use. If you haven’t done this already it’s definitely time to act now if you want to be able to wear flip flops this summer.

The best thing you can do to remove dead skin from your feet is to use aromatherapy foot scrub. You can mix your own foot scrub by mixing your favourites among essential oils with salt or sugar. If you’ve got plenty of dead skin to remove it’s usually better to use salt. Rosemary and peppermint are a few of the essential oils that can be used for aromatherapy foot scrubs.

Except from using aromatherapy scrubs it’s also healthy to put your feet into a aromatherapy foot bath every now and then. The ideal way to do it is to fill a large bowl with water (enough water to cover your feet), add ½ cup of water and 3-4 drops of essential oils, such as chamomile, peppermint, lavender or rosemary.

It doesn’t have to be hard to get beautiful and healthy feet again but it’s time to take action now!
