Can you honestly say that you feel relaxed all the time or do you need a spa visit every now and then to unwind and relax? Well, a spa treatment is great, but also expensive. Not all people can afford to visit a spa once in a while.

So, what can you do if you feel stressed and tense if you can’t afford to spend time at a spa? Well, you can choose to buy quality body scrubs and therapy oils to make your own spa treatment at home. It’s expensive as well, but still cheaper than a true spa treatment. It’s possible to save some money by making your own spa products though. A body scrub is actually easy to make and it’ll be effective and natural.

You just need a few things to create a natural and effective body scrub. You need a base in the scrub, and that can be either sea salt or oats. You can also use sugar if you prefer. You also need a few essential oils. They should be as naturally processed as possible. Lavender oil and rosewood oil as well as peppermint oil are a few examples that can be used. An oil that works as a carrier in the mix is also good to have. Jojoba is a great example. You can also add some lavender flowers or peppermint leaves to give the body scrub a fresh scent and a nice feeling.

300 g of sugar, salt or oats will be a great base to start with. Add 150 ml of jojoba oil (or any other carrier oil). Then you can add 15-20 drops of the essential oils, and then the leaves or flowers when the rest is mixed.

This is all you need in order to create a great body scrub that can be used over and over again. Good luck!

My name is Tezz and I'm a 29-years-old mother of 2. I spend most of my time at soccer practice, hockey practice or floor ball practice with my sons, but I also enjoy exercising myself. I love zumba, aerobics, jogging and of course power walking. My interest in health and training has grown since I became a mom. It all started when I wanted to lose a few extra pounds that I gained during my pregnancies, but it increased to become an honest interest in exercising and today I find it important to have a healthy lifestyle. I've also worked as a skincare consultant for a couple of years and I love beauty related topics just as much as health related topics. I love makeup and skincare and I'm looking forward to share my hobbies with you!
