Are you a smoker who would like to quit right away? It’s certainly not easy to quit but it’s worth the effort. Why? Because you’ll get a much healthier life, your skin will get more vital and fresh and you’ll get a much nicer breath. Do you need more reasons? Well, you’ll minimize the risk to get lung cancer and you’ll be able to exercise without getting tired as quickly as before.

So, how can you quit smoking and make sure to stay away from those dangerous cigarettes? It will be difficult and you’ll likely regret your decision a few times, but you’ll be very happy once you’ve succeeded.

The first thing to do is to make a decision, and it has to be your own decision. You can’t stop smoking just because someone else tells you to quit. It has to be a choice that you’ve made and a decision that you’ve decided to stick to, no matter how hard it’ll be. In order to remain strong you’ll need to figure out a reason to quit. Are you going to quit in order to stay healthy, in order to look younger or do you have another reason? This is an important part of the stop-smoking-process.

The next thing to do is to stop entirely. Don’t smoke at all when you’ve decided to stop. Some people try to stop smoking by cutting down on the number of cigarettes. From the beginning they might have smoked 15 cigarettes per day, then they try to cut down to 10 per day and then 5 per day. This is a bad way to do it though, because the addiction will remain as long as you keep smoking. It might be extremely difficult to stop entirely at once but it’s still the best way to do it.

In order to stay away from cigarettes you’ll need to keep occupied. Start exercising in order to keep busy. It’s also a good choice since you’ll likely gain a few pounds after you’ve quit smoking. By exercising regularly you’ll be able to keep the extra weight away.

It can be good to stay away from other smokers. Try to avoid smoking areas and try not to spend time with your friends who smokes in the beginning. It might be easier for you to stop smoking if you avoid alcohol as well.

By following these tips you’ve got a good chance to succeed with your goal to stop smoking. Good luck!

My name is Tezz and I'm a 29-years-old mother of 2. I spend most of my time at soccer practice, hockey practice or floor ball practice with my sons, but I also enjoy exercising myself. I love zumba, aerobics, jogging and of course power walking. My interest in health and training has grown since I became a mom. It all started when I wanted to lose a few extra pounds that I gained during my pregnancies, but it increased to become an honest interest in exercising and today I find it important to have a healthy lifestyle. I've also worked as a skincare consultant for a couple of years and I love beauty related topics just as much as health related topics. I love makeup and skincare and I'm looking forward to share my hobbies with you!
