Are you one of those persons who feels a bit down when it gets darker during autumn and winter? Would you like to find an easy way to get happier quickly? It’s actually quite easy, you can listen to more music!

It might sound too good to be true, but scientific studies shows that music can change your mood and if you feel tired and have a hard time to focus on your work, it can actually be very good for you to listen to music, since it can help you concentrate better.

The part of the brain that handles memory and vision can get brighter with help from music, and some scientific studies shows that it’s actually possible to activate parts of the brain with help from music. Scientific studies also shows that your favourite song can help you get in a better mood, and the reason is that the music that we like helps release the chemical dopamine that makes us feel good.

Listening to music is also a great idea if you feel stressed or maybe anxious. The music helps the brain to produce slow alpha-frequency brain waves, which makes you more calm and relaxed.

It gets more and more obvious that music actually has many health benefits, and this is the reason why some hospitals are using music to help the patients recover quicker. It can help relieve pain and anxiety and it can help lowering blood pressure and heart rate. It can also help a patient to feel happier, which is great for the recovery procedure.
