Tandem jumping – the perfect adventure this year

Jan 02, 2013 No Comments by

2013 is here, and even though it’s still winter, it’s time to plan this years vacation. Have you made any plans yet, or is it still an open story? I’ve got a suggestion for you, but only if you’re up to fun and exciting adventures, and if you’re willing to try something beyond lazy days on the beach.

Tandem jumping – a great adventure

There are many types of adventures to choose between when you’re planning your vacation, but one of the ultimate adventures is tandem jumping. It’s great for beginners as you can have an experienced person as company when doing the jump, but it also gives you a huge adrenalin rush, which is what most people are looking for when searching for adventurous activities.

So, how does tandem jumping work? It’s more or less like skydiving, the difference is that you’re connected to an instructor by a harness. This is a great training method if you haven’t tried skydiving before, and it’s also a great way to get perfect guidance from the start to the landing. You might think it’s less exciting and scary than common skydiving, but that’s not true. Be prepared to fall free for at least 45 seconds, and imagine how it feels to rush through the air with amazing speed for so long. Exciting enough, don’t you think?

Where to go if you want to try tandem jumping

Have I convinced you to try tandem jumping, or skydiving in general? That’s so great to hear! Now you just have to decide where to go in order to get the perfect skydiving experience. You can, most likely, stay in your own country and find a local instructor who can help you out, but you can also go abroad to skydive, and combine the tandem jumping with some sightseeing and other activities.

Have you ever been to Australia? If not, this might be the perfect time to go there. There are several skydiving schools to choose between and one of them is Australian Skydiving, situated in Bridgewater, 1½ hours from Melbourne. They’ve been in the business for several years, and they can teach you all you need to know about skydiving. There are many other things to see and do in the area as well, such as visit the golf course, swim in the Loddon River, visit the vineyard nearby and many other things. You can also visit Melbourne if you want to experience the Australian city life.

Another great option is Tandemhopp FallskjermSenter AS outside Oslo in beautiful Norway. Jump from a helicopter on a height of 3000 meetres, and enjoy the amazing view! After jumping you might want to do some sightseeing in the norwegian capital Oslo, but make sure to see some other places in Norway as well, since the country has magnific scenery to offer.

My name is Tezz and I'm a 29-years-old mother of 2. I spend most of my time at soccer practice, hockey practice or floor ball practice with my sons, but I also enjoy exercising myself. I love zumba, aerobics, jogging and of course power walking. My interest in health and training has grown since I became a mom. It all started when I wanted to lose a few extra pounds that I gained during my pregnancies, but it increased to become an honest interest in exercising and today I find it important to have a healthy lifestyle. I've also worked as a skincare consultant for a couple of years and I love beauty related topics just as much as health related topics. I love makeup and skincare and I'm looking forward to share my hobbies with you!
