Zucchini – a family favourite

More and more people come to realize how important it is to live a healthy life, with a healthy lifestyle. This includes young people in their 20’s, old people over 70, and plenty of people somewhere in between, some of them parents with children, trying to find a good balance between a healthy diet and food that is appreciated by the kids. It can be hard to find dishes which are a treat for the entire family, but zucchini is a vegetable which can be of great help in this matter.

A tasty recipe for the family

Zucchini is a great vegetable, not just because it’s tasty and good for your health, but also because it can be used for cooking, cooking in which the kids can take part. We all like to help, and so does the kids. Most of them love to help with the cooking!

So, what do you need in order to make a tasty zucchini dish then? It’s actually very simple, and you don’t need too many ingredients.

  • Zucchini
  • Minced meat
  • Vegetables of your choice, bell pepper and onion are great examples
  • Salt and pepper
  • Cheese

This is actually all you need to be able to serve a tasty meal, which will most likely be appreciated by all family members. The great thing is that it’s simple to prepare this meal. You start with preparing the zucchini, dividing it into half, so that you can put the minced meat in it. First you need to fry the minced meat though.

After adding the minced meat in the zucchini, it’s time to add the vegetables of your choice. Bell pepper gives a great taste to this dish, but other vegetables can be used as well. After you’ve added the vegetables of your choice, sprinkle cheese on top of it all. Put in the oven and leave there until the zucchini has softened and the cheese looks ready, as it looks on a pizza.
