You’ve probably been told over and over again, even since you were a child, that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. That’s very true, which gives you even more reason to find healthy alternatives for this meal. The risk is big that you’ll avoid the breakfast if you can’t find a tasty alternative.

10 healthy alternatives for a good start

The breakfast is the start of the day for most people, and in order to get a perfect start you need to eat something healthy with plenty of nutrients and vitamins, which gives you energy. All these 10 alternatives are healthy, and they will give you a good start if you choose any of these.

 

  • Oatmeal – It’s easy to prepare, you just need water, salt and oats, and of course a saucepan. It’s rich in fibres, and it helps lowering cholesterol.
  • Egg & Veggie Sandwich – Make an omelette with help from egg and frech veggies. You can use any veggies you’d like, and when the omelette is ready you can put it on a dark slice of bread.
  • Homemade cereals – Avoid sugary cereals by making your own. Use whole grains, nuts and dried fruit for a delicious result which is healthy as well.
  • Low-fat yogurt with fresh fruit – Don’t add any sugar, instead blend it with your favorite fruit, such as strawberries, raspberries or whatever you prefer.
  • Whole-wheat pancakes – Do you like pancakes? They can actually get even tastier and also a lot healthier if you add whole-wheat, fresh fruit pieces and whole grains.

  • English muffin – Take an English muffin and top it with low-fat cheese, tomatoes, cucumber and lean turkey.
  • Fruit salad – Fruit is delicious and healthy, and if you combine your favorite fruits into a fruit salad it’ll give you plenty of energy.
