Improve your health with spinach smoothies

We’d all love to stay healthy and strong, right? In order to achieve optimal health we need to pay attention to our food habits, and it’s important that we include healthy foods in our diet. It’s a well known fact that spinach is among the healthiest things you can eat, and it holds plenty of health benefits. It’s rich in iron and vitamins, and it also offers twice as much fiber as other vegetables and greens. Spinach is also an excellent source of beta-carotene, and this is a great anti-oxidant that will help you fight various diseases. Did you know that spinach can help you look younger than you actually are? Well, it’s true! It contains phytochemicals which helps fighting age-related degeneration. It’s also a great help if you want to keep your blood sugar level under control.

With all this in mind you probably understand that it’s a wise decision to include spinach in your diet, and there are plenty of ways to do it. You can cook it and it eat along with various foods, but you can also use the leaves in salads, and you can actually make yourself a real tasty smoothie with spinach as one of the ingredients. Find a recipe below, but feel free to replace some of the ingredients in order to make a smoothie that you really enjoy drinking. Don’t replace the spinach though 😉

Spinach smoothie


1 cup orange juice
1/2 cup yogurt
1/2 lb fresh strawberries, divided in halves
1/2 lb fresh blueberries (frozen will do as well)
1 banana
1 cup fresh spinach


  1. Add Juice and Yogurt.
  2. Add strawberries, blueberries and banana.
  3. Add spinach and put in the blender. Mix until it’s completely smooth. Enjoy!
