The winter will soon be here, and however beautiful and cozy it is with snowy days and blue skies, it can be difficult to stay away from colds, flus and other temporary diseases during this season. You may need a little help from supplements to stay well during the long and cold winter, and here is a list of 5 supplements that will help giving you the healthies winter ever!

  • Echinacea – This is natural power at its best! The lovely coneflower gives you Echinacea and this is a great anti-oxidant that may help improve your health. It will be a help if you want to improve your body’s defense system and that’s exactly what you need to prevent colds.
  • Cod Liver Oil – This supplement has been known for decades and it’s still as effective. It will provide you with the vitamin D that you need during winter. You get this vitamin from the sun in the summer season, but your body needs a little help in the darker season, and that’s where Cod Liver Oil comes into the picture.
  • Vitamin C – You’ve probably heard old people talking about the importance of vitamin C and they’re actually right. Vitamin C will help you fight off colds and it may also help you get a quick recovery if you’ve already been hit by a cold. You can get this vitamin from eating oranges, but you can also get it from supplements.
  • Iron – You need to find a good iron supplement if you want to remain full of energy during winter. Iron is required to produce a healthy amount of red blood cells, and these are responsible for transporting oxygen evenly to various parts of the body. If this is done properly you’ll get more energy and it’ll be a lot easier to focus on various tasks.
  • Co-enzyme Q10 – You may feel a lack of energy during winter, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Co-enzyme Q10 will help boost your energy levels as it increases the oxygen in your cells.

Have you heard of these supplements before? You should give them a go as they may help you enjoy the winter a lot more. If you’re on some kind of medication you should talk to your doctor before you start taking any supplements. The same goes if you’re suffering from some kind of disease. Otherwise you can just give it a go and benefit from the health effects!

My name is Tezz and I'm a 29-years-old mother of 2. I spend most of my time at soccer practice, hockey practice or floor ball practice with my sons, but I also enjoy exercising myself. I love zumba, aerobics, jogging and of course power walking. My interest in health and training has grown since I became a mom. It all started when I wanted to lose a few extra pounds that I gained during my pregnancies, but it increased to become an honest interest in exercising and today I find it important to have a healthy lifestyle. I've also worked as a skincare consultant for a couple of years and I love beauty related topics just as much as health related topics. I love makeup and skincare and I'm looking forward to share my hobbies with you!
