Start your weight loss journey with a water fast
Would you like to lose some weight before the holidays, so that your new dress will fit? You don’t have much time, but you still have a chance to succeed, and a good method to start with is water fasting. It will give you a flying start and it will help you lose a few pounds to start with, which will probably increase your motivation. It will also help your body get rid of toxins, which is great.
So, how do you perform a water fast? It’s not too difficult!
- Plan your water fast. It’s up to you to choose the length of the fast, but 3-4 days may be a reasonable time if it’s your first time. Plan it on a week without extraordinary events, such as dinners, birthday parties and such.
- Prepare yourself for a couple of tough days. You may experience side effects like headache, dizziness and maybe even nausea. It’s important to drink much water and you should stop your water fast if the side effects gets bad.
- Make sure to get enough rest and sleep when you’ve started the water fast. You will probably experience a lack of energy during these days, and it’s healthy to get much sleep during these days. Don’t exercise and don’t work too hard!
- Make sure to drink at least 8 glasses of water each day of your water fast.
- When it’s time to start eat again you should start smoothly with fruits and vegetables. It’s a good way to start and it’s a good way to maintain the healthy lifestyle you’ve started.
When you’ve done a water fast you will know how it feels, and you may be able to make the fast last longer next time. Some people even do a 30-days water fast, but that’s not a good thing to start with for a beginner. Approx. 4 days is a great start, and it’s a great way to kick off the weight loss journey, as well as a great way to cleanse the body!
