We live in a time when technical gadgets are a big part of most peoples lives, and most of us can’t live without our smartphones, laptops and all other high-tech gadgets. Our gadget addiction can be quite frustrating from time to time, but it can also bring something good, as these gadgets provide us access to lots of health apps. Here are a few apps that makes it easier for you to live a healthy life.

  • Whole Foods Market Recipes for iPhone – This app provides access to a recipe index, which makes it easy for you to find something tasty and healthy to cook for dinner every day. Home cooked meals are a lot healthier than the food you buy at various fast food restaurants, so make sure to cook often! You can save your favourite recipes, create grocery shopping lists from the recipes and you can also create menus.
  • Garmin Fit for Android and iPhone – This app will tell you how fast you run or walk, what distance, how many calories you’ve burned, etc. There’s also a function which makes it possible for your friends to see where you are, which is great from a safety perspective.
  • My Diet Coach for iPhone and Android – This app will help you through the difficult moments of dieting. It will help you resist your food cravings and it will give you advice to increase your motivation, which can be a great help if you want to succeed with your weight loss goals.
  • Runkeeper for Android – This app uses the GPS function on your phone to draw a map when you’re out running. This makes it possible to calculate distance, pace, calories burned, etc. You can share your progress with your friends and family on Facebook and also see how they are doing.
