Effective training in 2014

Christmas is over and New Years is soon to come. This means it’s time to get a grip of your New Years values. What are you going to promise for next year? Will you make any lifestyle changes? Maybe it’s time to work out after a lazy life? Or maybe it’s just time to make your work out sessions more effective? I’ve got some advice for you if that’s your plan. Check this out!

  • You have to commit – There’s no time for hesitation if you want to succeed. You need to commit and you need to do it 100%. You don’t have to work out every day, but you should make it a habit to exercise at least 3-4 days a week. Once you’ve made it a true habit it will be a lot easier. Don’t allow yourself to break this promise!
  • Make a schedule – Don’t exercise when you have a few minutes to spare. Make a schedule and write your training sessions in it. That way, you can’t blame your failure on lack of time. You CAN succeed, and you WILL!
  • Get help if you need it – Ask someone who knows it all. Do you need some help to get started with all the training equipment at the gym? Then you should ask a personal trainer to help you. Maybe you won’t need help for long, just a few times to get started and to learn how it works. That way you can avoid injuries.
  • Get a training partner and compete – It’s a lot easier to achieve your goals if you have a training partner and it can be good to compete a little every now and then. You can compete with a partner, but you can just as well compete with yourself. The important thing is motivation.
  • Run faster or walk longer – You need to push yourself towards success. If you usually run; step it up! Run faster and make your sessions last longer. Is power walking your kind of training? Walk faster, longer and make your sessions last longer. You need to push yourself a little further in order to succeed.

It’s actually as easy as that. You don’t need to be an elite athlete in order to get the most out of your training, but you need to be motivated and you need to be devoted. Good Luck with your training in 2014!

About the author

My name is Tezz and I'm a 29-years-old mother of 2. I spend most of my time at soccer practice, hockey practice or floor ball practice with my sons, but I also enjoy exercising myself. I love zumba, aerobics, jogging and of course power walking. My interest in health and training has grown since I became a mom. It all started when I wanted to lose a few extra pounds that I gained during my pregnancies, but it increased to become an honest interest in exercising and today I find it important to have a healthy lifestyle. I've also worked as a skincare consultant for a couple of years and I love beauty related topics just as much as health related topics. I love makeup and skincare and I'm looking forward to share my hobbies with you!
